Two-factor authentication via WhatsApp
MMV supports WhatsApp for multi-factor authentication — and crew love it. Most maritime crew already use WhatsApp daily. Receiving an MFA code there is faster, more reliable, and more familiar than email or SMS, especially in ports with limited connectivity.
This is a significant convenience for crew who may not have local SIM cards, unreliable email access, or strong cellular data in remote anchorages. WhatsApp works on Wi-Fi alone — making it the most practical MFA option for maritime environments worldwide.
